What is a "Subsidy Unlock Code"? 
Answer£ºA "Subsidy Unlock Code" is a code that is unique to your phone. The code is assigned by the original service provider the phone was manufactured for so that it cannot be taken to another carrier for activation without their permission.
If this error message should appear you will need to contact the service provider for assistance.If you need assistance unlocking your phone please follow these steps.
To unlock your phone£º
   At the Enter Unlock Code prompt
     1.Press the unlock key to enter your unlock code
     2.Press ok to unlock your phone.
Note: Your unlock code may be you cell phone number. If not, you will need to contact your service provider for assistance.
To lock/unlock the SIM Card£º
   1.Press the Menu button
   2.Scroll to and select Settings
   3.Scroll to and select Security
   4.Scroll to and select SIM PIN. If you entered an incorrect PIN code 3 times in a row, your SIM card is disabled and your phone displays SIM blocked. (Contact your service provider for further details)

What data cable can I use with my device? 
Answer£ºIf you would like to connect your phone to a PC in order to sync music, or transfer items such as captured pictures or videos you can use a data cable.
 
Question£ºHow can I transfer multimedia files (music, photos, videos) between my phones removable memory card and a computer? 
Answer£ºYou can access your phones memory card with a PC and move / copy compatible files to it, or from it. There are two steps to this process: Setting up the Phone, and connecting and transferring between the computer.
Note: When your phone is connected to a computer, you can access the memory card only through the computer.
To set up on your phone:
Press the Center Select Key
Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Settings, and Press the Center Select Key
Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Connection, and Press the Center Select Key
Use the Navigation Key to scroll to USB Settings, and Press the Center Select Key
Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Default Connection, and Press the Center Select Key
Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Memory Card, and Press the Center Select Key
Once you have completed the above steps attach the Motorola Original USB cable to the accessory port on your phone and to an available USB port on your computer.
Then on your computer:
Find where your phones memory card displays as a "Removable Disk " icon,
On a PC this is the "My Computer" window
On a Mac its on the desktop
Double-click the "Removable Disk" icon to access the files on your phones memory card
To store the desired files onto the memory card, drag and drop them as follows:
 
Question£ºHow do I remove a Bluetooth device from my phone? 
Answer£ºPlease follow the steps below to remove a Bluetooth device from most phones.
Press Menu.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Connection.
Scroll to and select Bluetooth.
Scroll to and select Device History.
Scroll to and select the desired accessory.
Press Menu or Options.
Scroll to and Select Delete.
Note: Please refer to your phones users guide for more detailed instructions.
 
Question£ºDo YXTEL batteries develop a memory? 
Answer£ºNone of the YXTEL cellular phone batteries we currently manufacture form a "memory" anymore, so it is not necessary to drain a battery before it is recharged. You may recharge at any point. We do recommend discharging a new battery completely and recharging the first 3-5 times, so that the battery may be fully conditioned. Please note that if you are still using nickel cadmium batteries, they do have a memory effect and will have to be completely discharged before recharging.
 
Question£ºWhat do I need for a data connection between my phone and laptop or notebook? 
Answer£ºYXTEL offers several data connectivity solutions depending on the type of phone you are using. To locate what data options are available to you please visit our product accessory page and choose the phone you are interested in from the drop down box and check the box next to Connectivity and Data Kits.
 
Question£ºAn unknown device is asking me to pair with it. What should I do? 
Answer£ºIt is strongly recommended to decline all pairing requests from unknown devices.
While the Bluetooth security algorithm itself is secure, pairing with an unknown device gives that device the key to decode your data transmissions.
 
Question£ºWhen I try to connect to my bluetooth accessory, I get Bluetooth link busy error, what should I do? 
Answer£ºPlease try the troubleshooting steps listed below:
1. Disconnect any previous Bluetooth devices paired to your phone
2. Verify both the phone and the Bluetooth accessory are fully charged.
3. Turn the phone off and turn it back on again.
4. Turn off the Bluetooth accessory and turn it back on again.
 
Question£ºHow do i put my phone into discoverable mode? 
Answer£ºNote:For other Bluetooth devices to see your phone, place your phone in discoverable mode.
To place your phone in discoverable mode:
1.Press the Center Select Key.
2.Scroll to and Select Settings.
3.Scroll to and Select Connection.
4.Scroll to and Select Use Bluetooth.
5.Scroll to and Select Find Me. Your phone will display: Discoverable: 3 minutes.
 
Question£ºHow do I use my camera/video? 
Answer£ºYour phone has a 2 megapixel camera that can take photos at up to 1200 X 1600 pixels resolution.  The camera includes a macro mode for taking close-up photos.Press the Camera key to activate the camera.  The active viewfinder image appears in the display.
Note: Tap the camera icon to switch to video mode. While in video mode, tap the video icon to switch to camera mode.
To take a photo:
1.Press the Camera key.
2.Tap Capture or press the Center key to take a photo.
To take a video:
1.Tap Record to start video recording.
2.Tap Done to stop video recording.
Using the viewfinder:
1.Press the up/down arrows or side keys to zoom in/out.
2.Press the left or right arrows to adjust image brightness.
Tip: Tap the viewfinder screen to remove the indicators for an unobstructed fullscreen view.  Tap the fullscreen view to return to the indicators.

What is Crystal TalkTM? 
Answer£ºCrystal Talk is an noise-masking algorithm within the phones (DSP) Digital Signaling Processor. It improves the voice quality you hear in your earpiece by taking into account any background noise in your environment. It also improves your voice that the recipient(s) hear by filtering out any background noise in your environment that your microphone may pick up.
 
Question£ºHow do I make a phone call? 
Answer£ºTo make a phone call:
 1.Tap the Dial pad
 2.Enter the phone number
 3.Tap Call
Note:  To prevent accidental touches, your touch screen might go dark during a call.  To reactivate it, press the Home Key.
 
Question£ºHow do I setup automatic redial on my phone? 
Answer£ºTo setup automatic redial:
1.Tap Menu to open the menu.
2.Tap Settings.
3.Tap Call.
4.Tap Auto Retry to turn it On.
Note:  When automatic redial is turned off, you can manually activate it to redial a number.  When you hear a fast busy signal and see Call Failed, tap Retry to automatically redial.
Note:  When you receive a busy signal, your phone displays Call Failed, Number Busy.  If you turn on Auto Retry, your phone redials the number for four minutes.  If the call goes through, your phone rings or vibrates once, displays Redial Successful, and connects to call.
 
Question£ºHow do I check my recent calls list? 
Answer£ºTo check the recent calls list:
1.Tap Menu to open the menu.
2.Tap Calls.
3.Tap the arrow in the upper right corner  to choose Missed Calls, Received Calls, Dialed Calls, Call Timers, Data Counter.
4.Tap the green arrow next to an entry to choose Call, Send Message, Save to Contacts, Lock, or Remove.
Note:  Your phone keeps a list of calls you received or dialed, even if the calls didnt connect.  When your phone adds a new call to the top of the list, it deletes an old call from the bottom of the list.
 
Question£ºHow do I return a missed call? 
Answer£ºTo return Missed Calls.
1.Your phone keeps a record of your missed calls, and displays [Number] Missed Calls. When you see the missed call alert.
2.To Return the call, tap View Now, then tap the phone icon next to the call.
3.To Dismiss the missed call alert, tap View Later. If you want to see the call details later, tap Menu, then Calls.  Missed calls have a red X next to them.
 
Question£ºHow do I restrict calls from my phone? 
Answer£ºTo Restrict Calls:
1.Tap Menu to open the menu.
2.Tap Settings.
3.Tap Security.
4.Enter your four-digit lock code (originally set to the last four digits of your phone number).
5.Under Restrictions, tap Update Settings.
6.Enter the four-digit restriction code (originally set to the last four digits of your phone number).
7.Tap Done.
8.Under Calls, tap Incoming Calls or Outgoing Calls.
9.Tap Allow All, Block All, or Contacts Only.
Note:  Your call restrictions use a restriction code that is different from your lock code.  To change your restriction code, tap Change Code under Restrictions in the Security menu.  Enter your current restriction code (originally set to the last four digits of yourphone number), then enter and confirm a new four-digit code.
 
Question£ºHow do I access my in-call options? 
Answer£ºTo access In-Call Options:
1.During a call, you can tap the shortcuts at the top of your screen to open your Messages, Dialpad, Calls, or Contacts.
2.You can also tap the shortcuts in the middle of your screen to switch the call to Mute, Speaker phone, or Bluetooth (Bluetooth device).
Note:  When you have a Bluetooth device connected during a call, you also see Audio to Phone and Disconnect Bluetooth options. When you have TTY Mode on,you also see a TTY  Setup option.
 
Question£ºHow do I set an in-call timer alert? 
Answer£ºTo set an In-Call Timer Alert:
1.Tap Menu to open the menu.
2.Tap Settings.
3.Tap Sounds.
4.Tap Service Alerts.
5.Tap Minute Beep to turn it On.
Note:  You can set your phone to beep every minute that you are on a call.  The person you are talking to does not hear the minute beep.
 
Question£ºHow do I change my DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) tones? 
Answer£ºTo change your DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) tones:
1.Tap Menu to open the menu.
2.Tap Settings.
3.Tap Call.
4.Tap DTMF.
5.Tap Normal or Long.
Note:  Your phone sends Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones for calling card calls or to navigate automated systems (such as banking by phone).
 
SETTING

How can I turn off in-call main screen lock? 
Answer£ºYour  phone allows you to access different features during a call.  To prevent you from accidentally touching the screen in a call, such as pressing the phone to your cheek, the Phone has a software lock function turned on by default.  A few seconds after a phone call begins you will see a red box in the middle of the screen with padlock and text stating "Touch to unlock." If you would like to turn this feature off, the following steps should be followed.
Press Menu
Press Settings
Press Phone
Press Phone Settings
Scroll down to the Auto Lock setting
Press the button to change the setting from On to Off
 
Question£ºHow can I turn the sound on/off when the phone powers on/off? 
Answer£ºTo turn on or off the sound when your phone turns on or off:
Tap Menu to open the menu.
Tap Settings.
Tap Sounds.
Tap Power on/off Sound.
Tap Power On or Power Off.
Note:  You will not hear these sounds if the master volume is set to Vibrate Only, Alarm Only, or All Sounds Off.
 
Question£ºHow can I adjust my keypad volume? 
Answer£ºTo adjust the keypad volume:
Tap Menu to open the menu.
Tap Settings.
Tap Sounds.
Tap Keypad Volume.
Slide the volume level or tap the volume bar to select Off, Low, Medium Low, Medium, Medium High or High.
 
MESSAGING

How do I send a text message? 
Answer£ºTo send a Text Message:
1.With the flip open, from the main screen, touch Messages 
2.Touch New Message.
3.Touch New TXT Message.
4.Touch TO: to  
Touch Contacts, to enter a contact
Touch Dial Pad, to enter a new phone number
Touch All Calls, to add from previous calls.
Note: You can repeat this step to add up to ten recipients.
5.Touch Text, then enter the message text.
6.Touch Insert Quick Text to insert prewritten text.  Touch the text you want to insert.
7.Touch Send to send the message.
Tip:You can rotate the phone into the landscape direction to gain access to the QWERTY keypad.
Tip: To edit previously entered text, simply tap the location in the text field, use the arrow keys to move the cursor and use the CLR key to delete.
 
Question£ºWhy am I receiving a memory full notification? 
Answer£ºMemory full warning notifications are shown once the SMS memory reaches 80 full, which is 80 out of 100 SMS.
 
Question£ºHow do I send a picture in a text message? 
Answer£ºTo send a Picture in a Text Message:
1.With the flip open, from the main screen, touch Messages
2.Touch New Message.
3.Touch Pic-Voice Message.
4.Touch TO: to enter recipients.  Touch a Contacts entry and then touch Add Number, or touch Dial Pad, enter a new phone number, then touch Done.
5.Note: You can repeat this step to add up to ten recipients.
6.Touch Text, then enter the message text.
7.Touch Insert to add a subject, prewritten text, picture, video, or other object.  Enter the text you want to insert and touch Done, or touch the item you want to insert and touch Insert.
8.Touch Send to send the message.

How do I set an alarm? 
Answer£ºTo Set an Alarm:
1.With the flip open, touch Menu.
2.Touch Tools.
3.Touch Alarm Clock.
4.Touch Add Alarm 1, Add Alarm 2, or Add Alarm 3.
5.Drag the button below Set Alarm to the to the right to turn it On.
6.Set the alarm time, tone, and recurrence by touching the details.
7.Touch Done.
 
Question£ºHow do I view current times in cities around the world? 
Answer£ºTo view current times in Cities around the World:
1.With the flip open, touch Menu.
2.Touch Tools.
3.Touch World Clock.
4.Touch Add Clock.
5.Touch a global region.
6.Touch the city that matches the time you want.
 
Question£ºHow do I access my calculator on my phone? 
Answer£ºTo Access the Calculator:
1.With the flip open, touch Menu.
2.Touch Tools.
3.Touch Calculator for basic math functions, or Tip Calculator for figuring gratuities.
Note:  Use the keypad to enter numbers and mathematical functions.
 
Question£ºHow do I edit a contact? 
Answer£ºTo Edit a Contact:
1.With the flip open, from the main screen, touch Contacts
2.Touch the entry to open it.
3.Touch Edit.
4.Edit the contact information.
5.Touch Save.
Tip:  If you store more than one number in a contact, you can set the default number by touching the circle to the right of a number.
 
Question£ºHow do I delete single or multiple contacts? 
Answer£ºTo delete single or multiple contacts from your phonebook:
1.With the flip open, from the main screen, touch Contacts.
2.To delete one contact, open it by touching it.
3.To delete multiple contacts, highlight them by sliding across each one, from left to right.
4.Highlighted contacts have a light background on the left side of the screen.  To unhighlight a contact, drag across it from right to left.  After you highlight the contacts you want, touch Options.
5.To delete the contacts, touch Erase.
6.Touch Yes to confirm.
